2022 was a great year for me! I attended 2 concerts plus a music festival, went to AnimeExpo in California, put on braces, got a navel piercing, and made some new friends!
I ended the fall semester with a nice gpa (all with me forgetting to submit a final project on time (-｡-;) and spend most of it making art. I didn't start any new video games, but it was nice to return to Death Stranding and Horizon Zero Dawn after so long. For a game my father deems to be "extremely boring", the simplicity of Death Stranding is oddly engaging. I get stressed traversing through BT territory as much as I would fighting enemies in a typical adventure game, and Horizon is just a solid game overall.
As for art, I tried paper art for the first and am very satisfied with how it came out!!! I wanna do more in the future, but maybe not soon considering how time-consuming it is and how once I'll start it, I won't want to stop lol. I sent in my charm designs from earlier in the year to Vograce and was able to get them back before the new year and started making plans for opening an etsy shop. Who knows if I'll actually go through with it, but making business cards was fun.

I dunno why but updating and editing my social medias is so comforting... Now to work on a late Finals assignment.
My held copy of The Hobbit arrived at the library yesterday! Even though I'd only been waiting a week, I was super excited to pick it up. I'm on chapter 6 right now and it's interesting to see the long-drawn-out movie scenes be breezed through in the book.
I know people prefer to read the book and then watch the movie, but I like both. When I read the source material of the movie adaptation it feels like I'm unearthing secret lore and it makes the experience all the more engaging. I'm overcome with the desire to draw my version of the book Hobbit characters since they feel so distinct in my head. Ooh! Maybe I'll take the opportunity to try out my new dip pen!!
I really needed this. Reading a book helps me focus better on work.
I'm suffering from some pretty bad stress and procrastination, so why not worsen it with drawing!!! I'd been saving up outfits from Pinterest I wanted to draw Stede in and decided to fulfill that desire (plus a bonus Ed). All done in MS paint so please click for better quality.
